For me, it was when my husband got his foreign OW pregnant, 25 years into our marriage. We were still legally married when she gave birth. I'm not sure it's something that I'll ever really get over as I was convinced we had a great marriage and were heading our way to the blissful 'white picket fenced house' and joint retirement plans!

I was living in a foreign country and found out my ex had genital warts from his prostitute habit. I got an STI test and he'd given me five infections including the type of HPV that gives you cervical cancer. I had to be regularly tested for HIV and I developed a chronic bladder inflammation.

I had to finish the relationship and move back to the UK with all the stress that involves. So that was fun.

Nothing in that league. I got the shock of my life when I found out my husband was paid about £10k more than I thought he was and was using it to subsidise his selfish spoilt parents (they lived in a £1millon+ property they refused to sell). I was bearing the main burden of our household expenditure. His siblings are considerably richer than us also.

I did consider ending my marriage over the omissions of truth and outright lies, though in the end I didn’t. I was very clear that any other omissions/lies and we
were over.
