Why do I always end up liking guys with the same name?!

Sooo is there a meaning behind this, or is it just random?!

I'm going to use the name Dave, but since me and my ex split (long term relationship) 2 years ago.. guys who have caught my interest in that time are called Dave?!

There have been 4 Dave's.. 1 of them massively stands out, but I have no idea how to give a subtle hint to let him know I like him..
Any advice?!

Is this just random or does anyone know of any spiritual meanings behind this? Or do I sound crazy 🤣

🤔

I mean unless they're all called something really really unusual like Slagathor or Englebert I'd say it's just one of life's interesting coincidences.

RosesAndHellebores · 18/09/2024 23:52

I think it's just a coincidence that happens. When I was a teen I went out with three chaps all called Phil!

When we meet up with our closest friends there are: three Marks, two Phils, two Nicks and two Anthony's.

DelphiniumBlue · 18/09/2024 23:55

No, it just means you tend to go for guys of a certain age.
I don't know any Daves under 45, for example, and most Pauls, Michaels, Petes etc will probably be over 50. There weren't the big range of names used then that there are now, so you could go to a party or a class room back in the day and find that most of the men/boys there had one of those names. For example, I currently work with about 10 men, 4 of whom are around the same age ( to the nearest decade) and have the same name. The others include a Dave, a Mike, and a Pete.

I think the planets alignments and mercury in retrograde means the universe is organising your destiny but you're putting obstacles in the way. When you open your heart truly and manifest accurately, your destiny will be revealed. Or something like that.

My sister was is married to a Chris & prior to that her ex was Chris

My best friend has 2 exes both called Scott,

forgivingfiggy · 18/09/2024 23:59

My love interests were always Andys or Chrises from about 1997 to 2012. Broke the run with a John.

TouringTheTearooms · 19/09/2024 00:02

Is it just a really popular name? (For when they were born).

I can't even count the number of Lee's I know in their 30's and 40's. I swear every second boy must have been called Lee 😂

EBearhug · 19/09/2024 01:15

I think it just reflects your target age range and which names were popular when they were born.

cherrylips · 19/09/2024 01:50

I have 2 ex boyfriends called Daniel. I think someone I snogged whilst at uni was called Dan and I’m married to a Daniel. You posting this thread has made me realise this!
