I've been dating somebody for a few months now. Nothing too serious, but we are getting there.
He's away this weekend on a friend's stag party.
How often do you think I should expect hear from him? Once/everyday/several times a day/not at all?
I'm not sure what's reasonable!

Really!? Not at all?
Gosh, I think I'm worrying over nothing. 🤣🤣

Once when he get's there and once to say he's on way home.

This thread has opened my eyes a bit!
I think what I'll do is expect not to hear from him and then, if he contacts, that will be a bonus.

When he goes out usually, I'll hear maybe once - I'm home, pissed etc.

Trouble is, when I go out, I end up getting horny as hell and end up texting him saucy messages! I might need to stop that and be a bit more elusive! 😂

I think it's easy to take him not texting you when he is out/away as a 'oh he doesn't care about me as much I care about him' but actually it probably is about him just having his mind in having fun and being busy with his mates.

I wouldn't expect to hear much from him.

I think it's something you could probably have spoken to him about beforehand, tho. Like asking if he'd let you know when he's landed or to send you some pics.

I wouldn't ask for anything like goodnight texts as he might get too trollied and then you might be disappointed or angry waiting.

The best way to manage expectations though is to discuss them.
