Just found out the man I have been seeing is in a relationship it's not been long but he promised he was single and I really thought it was going somewhere. He told me the truth this morning and I have blocked him but I am so upset. Why do people play with peoples feelings

I met him at a party we instantly got along he's been truthful before it's gone to far but still far enough for me to feel down about it
