He keeps messaging

I went to a running group in 2016. I spoke to lots of people there. One guy there would message every few weeks on Facebook. I have been with my partner a while and now this guy is messaging me weekly and trying to reduce to the days so it is more than once a week. I find it inappropriate. I have not seen this guy in over 3 years. Why do men not back off when you meet someone?

If you don't want to talk to him just block him?? The real question here is why do you feel you need to entertain him?
