Partner hurt me

Name changed for this as I don’t want to be linked to my other threads.

Today my ex-partner (still living together until he moves out after cheating on me) assaulted me and bit me on the back…. I’m devastated and hurting.

Too ashamed to tell anyone I know in real life but feeling like I need to tell someone

That's shocking

Is there a reason why you won't contact the police? It's an assault. No judgement just wondering

Lindjam · 23/08/2024 20:45

So sorry.

Please call the police.

2sisters · 23/08/2024 20:46

Call the police. Ask for him to be removed.

Azandme · 23/08/2024 20:47

I'm so sorry. Please report him, and have him removed.

Nothanks17 · 23/08/2024 21:00

Please call the police and you might need to get the wound cleaned out. You are not alone, and once you are ready please reach out to someone you trust

Sparklfairy · 23/08/2024 21:01

Can you get checked out? I've seen nasty, nasty infections from so-called 'fight bites' - even if you think it isn't that bad.

cupcaske123 · 23/08/2024 21:03

Call the National Domestic Abuse Helpline tonight for advice. 0808 2000 247

Runnerinthenight · 23/08/2024 21:04

Call the police and get him out. That's horrendous.

What a bastard. Tell someone in real life though - I would want to know if someone I cared about was going through this. Take care x

Autumnismyfavouritetimeofyear · 23/08/2024 21:06

I am so sorry OP. If you have a partner who bites, you need to leave as soon as you can.

comedycentral · 23/08/2024 21:07

Please get checked out, you can get a serious infection from a bite. If you don't want to call the police, call womens aid, tell someone.

RickyGervaislovesdogs · 23/08/2024 21:08

Jesus, bathe in salt water and apply some TCP or sudocrem? You may need to get it seen.

You should call the police, but I don’t think you will. I hope you have another bedroom to rest in.

Are you sure there’s nobody you can confide in or stay with (or even just a helpline for support). I‘m so sorry.

HappyHedgehog247 · 23/08/2024 21:09

We are here for you. How are you doing?

DeliciousApples · 23/08/2024 21:11

Sorry you're going through this. He isn't safe to be around.
He starts with biting, what will he do next?

That's why you need to report it. Because he is unstable and could do worse and you might not be able to protect yourself snd get seriously injured.

How bad is the wound? You poor thing. Please get it seen and report him. Handhold offered.

SaintHonoria · 23/08/2024 21:18

That's horrendous. People often lash out and slap or push in temper which is unacceptable but to actually bite someone is an act of depravity that warrants a call to the police.

SaintHonoria · 23/08/2024 21:20

Next time and there will be a next time he may go for your face or head and bite off your ear or your nose or scar you foe life by biting your cheek.

Please call the police before you are seriously harmed or worse.

He thinks he has got away with biting your back and that is all the fuel he needs to escalate his violence.

CC222 · 23/08/2024 22:03

Are you ok? Please call the police. I know it seems like such a big deal to call them, but you must. And it will help set the wheels in motion to get him out of your home! Call them now, don't wait... He is dangerous.
Are there kids involved? If yes, even more reason to report this asap x

SpanielPaws · 23/08/2024 22:06

The shame is his to feel and not yours.

Are you safe?

Runnerinthenight · 23/08/2024 22:09

@Notesonflyleafs hope you are safe and as ok as you can be.

Please please get this abusive bastard out of your home xx

Normallynumb · 23/08/2024 23:37

I'm so sorry biting is extreme violence and you need to report this to police
You also need to get the bite looked at asap in case of infection
Is there a friend you could stay with?
If you inform the police, they can remove him.

FlamingoFloss · 23/08/2024 23:44

Op are you still there?

Frith2013 · 23/08/2024 23:54

Please phone the police.

nocoolnamesleft · 23/08/2024 23:55

I am so sorry to hear this. There is a strong chance he will escalate the violence. If you possibly can, call the police, and they can remove him. Did the bite break the skin? If so it is likely to need prompt medical attention. Mouths are filthy.

Neverneverneveragain · 23/08/2024 23:59

You’re not safe. The police can remove him.
