Wondering if anyone’s had issues with their in laws and how they’ve come over it? I recently got married to my husband who I’ve been with 4 years, in fact almost a year married now. Before we got married everything was find in fact never felt more apart of the family and then couple months after we were married and went to spend Christmas there it just awkward after. I did have a disagreement with my husbands brother but I was deeply upset about that. Then his sister came to visit and after there was a massive family fall out because she took something I said the wrong way yet no one ever came to me to ask/speak. Now all of his family apart from his dad ever really speak to me. Any advise would be great!

What did you say?

I was just asking about savings and investments nothing personal like that, it was just amongst conversation that we were all talking about, but apparently I asked in a way that I was asking about her investments which wasn’t the way at all, even my husband was a bit confused by it all. We basically had moved in to my husbands father house for a few months to save money to buy a property but after that conversation the next day we were told that they all think we’re making the wrong move (was before election) and it was wrong time to buy ect. Anyway story short we basically stuck up for ourselves and said until we get an apology then they know where we are and nothing it’s been months.
