At a stage where I just need to do the being single thing and absolutely not get bamboozled into thinking men are a good idea because clearly they are all soul sucking goblins! (I joke - I don’t actually think that last part, only the ones I meet are 😂)

So am going to do the whole travelling thing when I haven’t got my kids etc. Started this weekend, I like it so far, it’s peaceful.

Just seeing if anyone else has done it and how’s it gone?

Do you mean like camping?

I used to take the chance to go off in my camper van when exP had the DC.

I loved it! Me, the dog, some wine/beer & nice food.

It was usually eow during the Summer months and afforded me a much needed re-set.

Eventually I met my current partner, who was also camping at a site I was on - now we go together but I still take off on my own occasionally.

Yes exactly like that, love that you were just doing your own thing and met your partner too!

I’m not camping but might do, I have every other weekend to myself so just want to get away when I can. This weekend I’m in a sort of beach hut and it’s been perfect.

I’ll maybe just tick off a few places I’ve always wanted to stay.

A beach hut sounds good, I didn't realise you can stay overnight in them, thought they were a day thing only.
