How do I motivate him?

I’m not well. I’m unable to do much of what I normally do. Instead of stepping up DH is doing less than he normally does. Ordinarily, we clean the house between us but currently it’s not being cleaned. He does his own washing and he’s doing that, and he’s walking the dog. I’m managing to do the food order and to put something out for us to eat. He’s clearing up.

My illness is affecting him, he presents as depressed. I have enough on my plate, without having to look after him. It feels like virtually everything has ground to a halt. He admits himself that he doesn’t cope very well when I am sick. It drags him down. I’m struggling with my own health, what can I do?
