Coworker starring

I have noticed a co-worker looking at me lots in the office. There has been the odd passing comment, but he is in a different department to me so we rarely cross paths but I probably see him once a week in passing. However when we do his guys are glued on me. He is quite a bit older and in a much more senior position than me. I’m feeling quite uncomfortable and I don’t know how to act. I’m worried things will escalate, although part of me is flattered. Can anyone offer an advice of what to do? I’m hoping if I keep my distance and just be polite he will get bored and move onto someone else?

Could you say something like "Did you say something?" "are you looking for someone?" and see how he reacts?

If he fancied you it would be odd to just stare

Unless you want to start something with him, just ignore him. He'll soon get bored.

When I saw the headline I thought you had a famous co worker, then I realised he wasn’t starring at all…
