Life hack for communicating with difficult co parents

Thought this might help others who have to communicate with a difficult co parent. Those who are argumentative, avoiders, narcissistic traits etc.

I write what I want to say/want to happen in notes. Then I go to chatgpt and ask it to rewrite what I've written succinctly using Non violent communication language. And it spits it out. Clear, concise, no fluff, no apology and very little the other person can try to seize upon and attack

It's saved me hours of trying to write texts and emails. Obviously, the other person is difficult by definition so there's every chance they won't respond/be reasonable with a request, but there's nothing for them to hang onto and start an argument about.

Hope this helps someone else

Download a co parenting app and block them from your phone and social media.

Mine is blocked on SM. What co parenting app do you use?

I saw the title and thought will this be about chatgpt?! I use it when I'm pissed off at work and need to tell my boss without the heat.

There are quite a few you can use for example Our Family Wizard or Talking Parents. Some keep a permanent record of all communication and have shared calendars and financial facilities to make shared costs easier.

Start a new email address just for them and ask them not to WhatsApp you or text you unless it's for immediate drop off or child health concerns that need immediate reply

That's a great idea. Thanks @supercali77.Thanks
