Dating advice for guys?

Hello mums. Hope I'm not going to get a group kicking for this but I'm seeking the advice of the great collective on dating.

I'm a widower, middle aged, and hoping to date again. Preferably a mum as I like being in a family and my child is now a young man. Don't really want to do the whole baby thing again. If dating sites and services are the way to go then I don't really know which are best for mums 35+. I think they are expensive for what they are tbh and I do a really bad fake smile for profile pictures :-/

If not dating sites then how else? I completely get that single mums are crazy-busy people and things change quickly when there are kids, so I'm prepared to cut the mum some slack.

Any advice based on experience would be very welcome.

I have found bumble and hinge to be best, tinder awful. Match ok.

I am a 50yo guy. It’s hard work but can work.

expensive? What price on a great long term relationship? £100 or so is a bargain imo.
