Hi, has anyone here done the online Women's Aid Freedom Programme? Just currently need some support and looking at options.

Also curious to know if it is done on the same day every week as there will be times when I won't be home alone ( need to do this on the quiet) or any other advice you can offer, how did you find it etc.

Thank you

Just google freedom program.

Hi again Rose's,

Yes I saw it can be done online, just wondered how it is orchestrated, if it is the same day every week, something you do in your own time etc.

Obviously, I need to keep all this to myself if possible.

You can do it in your own time. So if he comes rocketing into the room, you can quickly close the screen. It's a video basically.

You can find it here

Thanks so much roses.

Just right now I can't really afford the prices for private counselling, sp expensive. Also, the GP said to self refer to talking mental health services, but they are at capacity right now.

The best advice I've got for you is do the freedom program, and also get yourself on youtube and listen to Dr Ramani. She's a qualified psychotherapist and she specialises in narcissism.

Talk therapy is great, but it is not a silver bullet, and fitting in sessions around this prick you're dealing with may be hard - it's likely he'll make himself a nuisance.

You can watch Dr Ramanis videos whenever you want, you can subscribe to premium youtube for about £12 a month or you can just use it free but it will have ads.

This helped me just as much as the talk therapy did if i'm completely blunt.

I didn't have talk therapy until after I'd left my relationship and could focus on myself fully.

Yes, you're probably right about talk therapy, it's likely not all therapists will recognise the problem either, I'm still trying to understand how I missed it for so long.

Thank you again for all the advice, will look up your suggestion on YouTube. Literally loads of stuff on there...knowledge, knowledge, knowledge. One interesting thing that stood out today when researching was " the the way I had always responded to it when it happened, not good to argue back and defend.

An all round more peaceful day today thankfully
