Ex husband and his behaviour towards DS

Ex husband is a misogynist - we separated due to multiple affairs. That is now in the past and I am trying to maintain a distanced yet cordial relationship for our children. My DS is suffering though. DS is only six but keeps saying Daddy says my dancing is girlish, my singing sounds like a girl. My little boy loves to sing and dance and to hear him parrot this is very hard. He said today Daddy doesn’t let me dance as he said it is girly.
I am reassuring my DS that he can express himself however he wishes and that doesn’t make him girly or otherwise. How else do I handle this so his self esteem isn’t completely destroyed?
