Why would you archive WhatsApp chats, and then check them. Two different chats had messages but I couldn't see the names or anything. Phone was purposely turned away from me. I'm not feeling ultra trusting at the moment after I found a lie out. The lie was he was married years ago but told me he wasn't.

So that if someone archived messages you the message doesn't pop up on your home screen

Sorry to be clear I noticed him tilt his phone so looked why and saw WhatsApp. He clicked out the chats and I saw the number 2 next to the heading "archived chats" on WhatsApp. Hope that makes more sense. It was an obvious tilt.

Really depends what those chats are OP. I have archived chats for work WhatsApp groups because if I'm not there I don't want to know. I also archived the family chat because it was too much. Go on when I need to but other wise ignore it. Could be innocent?

Could be innocent. I don't understand the tilt though. It was definitely a tilt away from me and it was so obvious I saw out the corner of my eye, which is why I looked.

I archive chats / groups I have no interest in anymore! People can still message in them though, so occasionally I'll check to clear the messages.

Agree that it could be innocent - I have archived chats that I've archived by mistake then couldn't be bothered to change. However an obvious tilt away from you would cause me to be curious too. Can you bring it up with him and ask him about it?

I wouldn't know what to say to bring it up. He is pretty private with his phone which is fine because I am. But this is another level to me. He then asked me if someone was messaging me. That's a bit odd.

I archive chats from people who stop talking and I don't want to see on my phone but save the conversation. If they were to message it would still appear on home screen though. It's not locked away forever

I have a half answer. Blonde attractive female. Both the chats are from her under two different names/numbers, I'm not sure. About the football. Winky kiss and actual X at the end of the message. Yay.
