Well it depends on the messages but I'm guessing if they're, "Hi. Is tomorrow morning's meeting still happening do you know?" You wouldn't be asking...

That's why there's a difference between physical and emotional affair. They are both a breach of trust.

With a real person definitely cheating. With AI, I don't think so. I don't know whether I'd like it but not infidelity as there's nobody else involved. If it's affecting relationship/ sex life that's a problem but not so much cheating. Rather like porn use but minus the ethical issues I suppose so it hinges on whether it eats into time we could be spending together. Very occasionally, meh. All a bit dystopian though but I suppose quite harmless!!
