To fit a bully at prep school or be managed out?

My DC had bulling since April, teacher ‘alluded’ to my DC as having SEN but said nothing else only I don’t think so, is there any sen in the family?

a boy is singling him out it’s now causing problems with behaviour and confidence/self esteem

to stay and fight or be managed out? It’s clearly discriminatory but anyone taken legal action against a private prep..? Outcome??

thanks

Your post isn’t really clear enough for people to give you useful advice.

what SEN? Is it true?
hiw old?
what bullying?
what behaviour problems?
why do you think your son will be managed out?
do you like the school otherwise?

If the school is not dealing well with bullying it is best to move on, the time you spend fighting will surely only harm your DS?

What discrimination is happening?

regretnot · 04/07/2024 18:25

Discrimination on the basis that there is a possibility of SEN - I don’t wish to go into details of this. It’s nothing major and not confirmed.

my general issue is more around bullying, its affect on young ones and how it can impact their confidence/self esteem levels..

taking him out doesn’t feel like a good option for us and we hope
to resolve it but I have a gut / bad feeling about the goings on.. my DC is informing me of the goings on and not the school.

What bullying is happening? How old is your dc? It’s really hard to advise with no information.

is The possible Sen linked to the bullying? Are you seeking diagnosis? Is your child well behaved?
