Unbelievable Stupidity

Has anyone read this article? The stupidity of this man is beyond ridiculous. Blaming Apple when HE is 100% to blame.

Man plans to sue Apple after 'deleted' messages reveal he cheated. A lot — Metro

Apparently it's Apple's fault he's now divorced.

It’s hilarious, he can’t possibly be the one at fault can he?

MatildaTheCat · 14/06/2024 14:53

I hope he can afford to match Apple’s law team 🤣. Especially since he reckons he’s £5m down already.

No fool like an old fool.

MatildaTheCat · 14/06/2024 14:53

And blaming Apple for his ex wife’s trauma!!!

determinedtomakethiswork · 14/06/2024 15:27

But is one of the funniest things I've read.

Treestumpp · 14/06/2024 15:29

As unpleasant as it is, using sex workers isnt the same as cheating.

What is it the same as then? Aren’t sex workers people?

that is a strange comment - its only cheating if it is a person that comes with the @Treestumpp stamp of approval???

Of course it is. Monogamy is what the marriage vows stipulate, and a spouse who has sex with anyone else in any circumstances has been unfaithful. For many, a man having sex with someone who's only doing it because he's paying is even worse than an affair.

You´re right, it´s worse.

Sorry to derail the thread and I suppose in terms of adultery you're correct, it is fair grounds. I just think its not the same as texting your lover behind your spouses back, clandestin meetings etc. Its a business transaction, like buying a spa day or a cinema ticket. It's totally disgusting of course!!

Different shades of betrayal, that's all. Some might see the lack of emotional involvement as 'better' but obviously in other ways it's worse.

I think the point you're trying to make is that it doesn't involve emotional infidelity and it also doesn't take up as much time as conducting an affair would so the man isn't diverting his time and attention away from his wife. It's easier for the man to compartmentalise when he doesn't have to think about an affair partner.
Whilst these points are logically true, they are irrelevant because you have to look at the outcome of being unfaithful rather than the mode of being unfaithful. Both an affair and the use of prostitutes has the same effect upon the wife, should she find out. Depending on the wife's outlook, the use of a prostitute may be considered even worse than an affair.

I suppose it beats “ she drove me to it” and other similar bullshit.

He cheated. He got caught. End of.

Renamed · 14/06/2024 15:51

So if someone had a series of no strings one night stands that wouldn’t be cheating either?

I don’t think purchasing the use of someone’s body for sex is like buying a cinema ticket.

But I don’t want to derail the thread either.

Ah no, not end of - he got caught and he wants compensation! How could something so terrible have happened to him? The poor poor man…

Treestumpp · 14/06/2024 15:58

@OldWoMum1 yes spot on, having an "affair" is what i understand by cheating, more emotional investment you could say. It implies a two way thing - giving and receiving love/lust from a willing party, whereas sex workers is just paying for a release. Technically still the same in terms of adultery I suppose.
