What age did you figure it out and what was the light bulb moment for you?

Im 40 and people pleasing had got me out of control and now Im on a journey of self discovery so I can be a better mum.

Me.

I wish I'd moved far away.

I still have a lot of contact with my parents. So that's like constantly reopening the wound.

I hate the face that most people assume you felt loved growing up.

I feel eternally unlovable as if my parents didn't who would?

working on that feeling also. I have only just realised I’ve been living with that feeling my whole life. We both deserved to have felt loved but that doesn’t mean you aren’t lovable just that they couldn’t give it for whatever other reason not related to us.

I grew up with neglect and abuse. I have recently gone no contact with my mother and feel better for it, I still have many things to work through though.
