Recent emojis on his phone

Me and my partner don't mind using each others phones , it's never an issue.

This morning I was using his phone whilst mine was charging, he's now fell asleep and whilst I was googling something I noticed his recent emojis, some were normal emojis but I noticed '😏😉😍😘❤️' which he has NEVER sent to me, he never sends me emojis ever. Would you be thinking who is he sending those to? Or would you go on with your day....

My mind and heart is pacing a little......

I was thinking of saying nothing at all. Then check them again later or tomorrow to see if they have changed.

I can't see anything on his phone to suggest he's been sending these to anyone.

Is that on his text messages or whatsapp/messenger? I think my recent ones contain stuff I've never used! lol 😂

AnotI · 09/06/2024 11:25

If he never uses emojis, this could be a default list. Or WhatsApp or the keyboard is predicting emojis that he's not using from his text.

MyCleverCrab · 09/06/2024 11:25

What made you look in messages in the first place to be able to see what his recent emojis were?

MightyGoldBear · 09/06/2024 11:28

Does he have social media perhaps he is using them on that?

ditalini · 09/06/2024 11:29

My "recent" emojis on all my messaging platforms aren't very recent at all and there are some that I couldn't tell you who I sent them to, although presumably I did.

I also don't use emojis very much so I wouldn't assume that these are at all recent, nor sent to the same person.

@MyCleverCrab she said in the OP that she was googling.

I don’t use emojis on my work phone at all, but it still has a ‘recently used’ bit, which is a very random selection.

Intothevalley · 09/06/2024 11:32

I used emojis a lot, and my "most recent" on WhatsApp are not my most recent. In fact there are several I don't remember using.

TheCultureHusks · 09/06/2024 11:36

Mine on WhatsApp and messages are ones I’ve used recently. They take a while for an older used one to drop off the ‘set’ though as there’s quite a few there. But yes they are and always have been the recent ones.

Agree maybe he’s using them for social media?

OrlandointheWilderness · 09/06/2024 11:40

Just looked at mine on WhatsApp. On the top line of 6 recently used. One is used a lot (the very first one), the next I used once about 2 months ago and the others I've never touched. One is a hockey stick ffs..! 😂

rockingbird · 09/06/2024 11:43

Checked what's app - my emojis are the ones I've used most over the past month or two.. as a side note my ExH never sent me messages with emojis-then suddenly started to do so. It's was the first piece of a very complex jigsaw puzzle that uncovered his double life 🙄

Opentooffers · 09/06/2024 11:52

The first 2 emojis are neither here nor there. I've often sent the look of love one, for people who have put up a pic of their new cute pet, so again could mean nothing. Basically, an emoji list means nothing, sounds a bit paranoid tbh, unless it's backed up by other signs. If there's no suss messages, it's all inconclusive.

@MyCleverCrab she said in the OP that she was googling.

On an iPhone you have to actually click on the emojis to see the most recent. It just comes up as a keyboard otherwise (Google app and also safari/chrome)

@MyCleverCrab incorrect. Regardless of the app/site the emoji keyboard is always present. A small face in the bottom left hand corner of the keyboard. So even when googling you can see all the emojis

This, if he never ever uses them it’ll just be a standard list.

Nonewclothes2024 · 09/06/2024 12:15

My emojis are all ones I've used recently.
If you were just googling something why were you looking at his recently used emojis ?

whatdidyousaaay · 09/06/2024 18:19

I just checked my ‘frequently used’ emojis and 50% of them are those which I’ve literally never used

Errors · 09/06/2024 18:39

Yep, just checked mine too and I use emojis quite a lot. There are a load in there I have never used!

bunnypenny · 09/06/2024 20:53

er no not incorrect. The keyboard may be present but as I said have to click on something (the face) to see the emojis. Theyre not just automatically visible even when googling.

TheTartfulLodger · 09/06/2024 21:13

Has your relationship really descended to checking what emojis he uses?
