So when there are microagrressions every conversation with family.

Does that just mean your family hate you?

I have it constantly now. Maybe I always have had.

Maybe I'm now too old and too weak to stop it.

Help.

Absolutely not a psychologist, a higher psychology and some uni classes and a great deal of study on narcissistic sorts of people but that's about it.

But I'm going to spitball as sometimes it helps to have another person's outlook.

So, logically, it might be prudent to consider the reasons behind microaggressions.
Imo these could be:

  • person is under considerable stress
  • person has contempt for you
(Perhaps as a result of an action you've done that's caused them injury. Perhaps not).
  • learned behaviour from say, a parent
  • dissatisfied with their own life and its easier to blame you than make the changes themselves.
  • poor mental health/depression
  • underlying nasty personality whereby this is just who.they.are.

Any of these seem possible?

Secondly, what about you? What do you want? Do you really have to stay in this environment?
You only have one life, so imo, you are arguably martyring yourself unnecessary if you know staying here makes you miserable.

Rather than asking 'do they hate me?' How about asking 'Do I love me? And if not, how can I change that?'

I think it's lots of those. Yes.
I feel completely trapped. DD16. Sister Mother.
All hard. Don't know what to do.
