Dating a single mum from school run?

Name changed for this.
I'm a single dad, mum left us 3 years ago. On the school run I see a single mum and we said each other hi several times and just talk a bit. Our children go same year school, I like her but I do not know if I should ask her for a date, wait for my child ' s birthday to get to know her a bit better ( if they accept the invitation) or do nothing...

She seems lovely and I feel very attracted towards her, I don't do online dating and I work in a male work environment so I can't really meet anyone there.

Ask her if she like to get a coffee after the morning school run, or some other convenient time.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Sweet. Just ask for a coffee casually like friends. Then you take ot from there. I wouldn’t ask for a date yet as I think you have the chance to meet her before doing that.

Yeah I second what the other posts have said. Keep it casual and friendly. If she's not interested in that way it gives chance for a gentle let down also so it doesn't get awkward on the school run together
