OLD - avoidant men

It's been a real eye opener dating as a woman in her late 30s. The never ending men, similar age, who clearly don't want to be settling down any time, living bachelor lives, and drifting from one date to the next. Very good at pretending they want a relationship, to see 'how things go' and being 'easy-going;. Doesn't it get boring for them after a while?? Aren't they lonely?

I think online dating is for avoidant people to a certain extent...I know I've logged on just looking to meet people, or for dates, or to "see what's out there". Or when I've been about to move cities...

I've normally been honest (for example I was in a city for three days and asked if anyone wanted to get coffee - it worked!) but of course that might disappoint someone really serious!

And then theres all the flakes and fake profiles and fake photos and partnered up people and people wanting to sell their product or Onlyfans or something. Applies to men and women.

Obviously online dating can be a useful tool for trying to expand your circles, but I definitely wouldn't take it as representative of the whole demographic of men or women! If you're super serious about a relationship maybe get more targeted.
