Age Gaps

Anyone else in an age gap relationship/marriage?

My DH is nearly 17 years older but we get on great and have so much in common. I often see negativity aimed at older man/younger woman dynamics, along the lines of younger women being more easily controlled, he is only with her for her looks, she is only in it for money, what could they possibly have in common etc.

I appreciate older woman/younger man relationships get lots of negativity too, with the whole predatory 'cougar' label.

What are the positives of age gaps and why does it work for you?

I am probably too late but ... younger man older woman is a lovely dynamic and I think has great benefits for both. And I guess if a younger woman and older man want to be together and like that, then hey what's the problem? Not up to anyone else but them.

I won't start holding forth until I know anyone will actually read this, though : )

Dh is 13 years older than me, happily married and together nearly 3 years with a baby on the way! He's (nearly) 41 and I'm 28, best relationship I've been in. Never met a man as caring and loving as him.
