Special ways to propose

This summer in Mallorca (specifically Cala D'or) I'm going to propose to my girlfriend of 5 years, but stuck on locations as I've never been. We need something private and I was thinking of hiring a boat but maybe someone who has been there before knows some great spots!

Worth mentioning we won't have a car so preferably somewhere we can walk / short taxi. Budget is like £300 :)

Sorry but I hate the idea of "special" event or destination proposals ... the proposal itself is the big event. Is she expecting it or is it going to be a surprise after 5 years together?

We already have this holiday booked as our summer holiday but am going to surprise her on the holiday with the proposal, just looking for a pretty private spot as I know it's what she'd want. Will be a surprise :)

Ask at reception if they can/ will decorate your room while you are out one day, with flowers and you could bring photo's of you both, a will you marry me banner/ poster with you and they will place in the room, and do it in private with no audience.

Thing is if you book something too ott she will guess. Find a lovely restaurant, then go for a walk along the beach, then just go down on one knee. Then go and have cocktails.

Well I love the idea! OP must have an idea that their partner would like this too.

I think a sunset boat trip with champagne would be great, or arrange something on the beach at sunset - a picnic with candles all set up ready before you walk her there. Could you get someone to record it? Or there are gorgeous olive groves in the mountains.
