Can anyone recommend any marriage counsellors they have used - whether there are any online ones who you have had success with ?

We searched for a number of them in our area and then arranged phone calls to get a sense for them before booking an introductory session with one we both had a good first impression from. That went well and we were both happy with her approach and general vibe so we then made a block booking. I would shop around and speak to a few and have a chat together about what you would/ wouldn't like eg male/female, older/ younger etc. And make sure they are BACP accredited and have experience in the area you want to cover.

I think it's really important that both people who are having relationship councelling choose a person who you both think you can work with.

Did you find it hard and embarrassing to have those initial chats to figure out if the person was right ? I find it so hard to approach the conversation and don't know where to begin or what to say!
