Written about my ex on here. We split up this week. I felt relief and not missed him. Realised in my head it had ended months ago. Now dipping my toe in again. My friends are great, but all in relationships and kids. I miss the company but not rushing into anything. Just want to start and see if I can find someone with similar values.

I have signed up for Bumble and Facebook dating. Bumble I have had few matches - I used to do really well on there. It’s frustrating as it’s wanting me to pay for previously free things.

Facebook dating so far had poor matches. Tired tinder but so far guys looking for short term.

any pointers on where I can get quality matches? I am in mid forties. Looking to date a s see what happens. Looking for a guy that has a reasonable job and can hold a conversation. Any dating sites I should try?

It's a numbers game so the busier apps where you have more choice are likely to be best. I got lucky on Tinder and met someone amazing. If you are clear what you want on your profile it might help, but you will probably get quite a volume of rubbish as well.

@tanjaav i used to get lots of matches. But not so now. May have to look at my profile. Think it maybe my age.

I am also mid forties and same situation as you. Happy I seaprated and curious about OLD.
I tried Tinder and happy with it, of course one has to be careful and filter out quickly guys that are not a good match.
I am dating someone for two months now, enjoy our time together snd have fun. I have heard many women saying that there are no decent men on OLD but I don’t think this is true. It’s just making sure you are careful and keep an open mind.

Hinge is worth a look as it's free?

Tiredgrumpyhormones · 21/04/2024 18:50

I met ex via bumble so know there are good guys there. Hinge I never get matches. I don’t think I do it correctly
