My DS nearly age 6, wakes EACH morning between 5-5:30am…

we’ve tried everything.. put him down earlier, put him down later, have a consistent routine for months on end, make sure he is well exercised throughout the day..

no matter what, we have an extra early start each morning.. it’s killing me now!!!

I go to bed early most nights (clearly have not much of a social life!) but this is me time too..

any suggestions..???

me and DH try to share lie ins, we tried a grow clock too.. my son wants to be with or see me as DH is not a morning person so DS picks up on that energy…

im ALWAYS tired, running on empty and becoming short/snappy..

as is DH..

any suggestions??! TY

At 6, I’d set out an easy breakfast for him and make sure he can work the telly. Leave him to it until a civilised hour.

Give him a tablet with headphones he can watch cartoons on in bed and tell him not to leave his room before 7am unless he has to pee.
