I noticed today I have this random contact in my phone called ‘location’ with a random number. See attached.

Anyone clued up that could tell me is this any sign I have a tracker on my phone and I’ve been completely unaware of this😳🫣

What comes up if you Google or call the number?

ElleLeopine · 18/04/2024 17:11

Can you delete it?

That’s a Spanish number. Have you tried calling it - maybe from a different phone?

Planesmistakenforstars · 18/04/2024 17:35

Is there a reason why you're worried that someone is stalking you? Because that needs addressing as much as the number on your phone.

WithIcePlease · 18/04/2024 18:26

Any chance you put it in as 'location' when you booked eg an Airbnb in Spain?

Grumppy · 18/04/2024 19:02

Delete it out of your contacts

Notts276 · 18/04/2024 19:06

Can you view any call history associated with the contact? I would write the number down on paper for posterity then delete it.

littlebopeepp234 · 18/04/2024 20:00

The op says the number is saved in her contacts and the contact is named ‘location’, so they haven’t tried to call op, just the number is saved to the op’s phone as a contact.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 18/04/2024 20:09

It’s most likely to be a scam call, these people contact thousands of people. I would block and then delete this number.

Flyingfoxgirl · 18/04/2024 23:05

In French 'location' is a rental property, as a PP said it's a Spanish number, could it be a holiday rental ?

SkaneTos · 18/04/2024 23:08

Maybe it's a contact that you saved, and then forgot about?

Garlicked · 18/04/2024 23:14

I googled and found some situations vacant ads for a room maid in Las Palmas. So I'm going with holiday accommodation too!

mindutopia · 19/04/2024 10:20

I'm guessing you accidentally added a contact by clicking on a link when looking at holiday accommodation. Then you either didn't even realise it at the time or you forgot about it.

I recently discovered that I have a number saved in my contacts for a random guy called Sergio in my phone who managed an Airbnb I used in Spain like 5 years ago.

Just block and delete
