Hi all,
A strange one but tonight I came home unexpectedly and DH was on his laptop, uses it all the time so no surprise there, however, because he was surprised to see me he quickly switched tabs and was flustered. I sat down next to him and ostensibly he was checking football scores but i categorically saw him click on that just as I walked into the room. The only info I have is one other open tab with the word olive followed by 6-8 random numbers, no idea what that is, do you? Yes mumsnetters, I have asked him! Swears he was looking at football scores but he definitely wasn't just before I walked in because i sww the screen change....any clues?

I don't think any of us can know what was on his screen, but the more important issue is that you don't trust him and obviously suspect something.

Was there a photo? Could it have been a dating site?

My first thought was porn, but then wondered if it's a live cam or something like that?

Quick search for you appears to bring up a video chat. Number you saw being indicative of some form of chat ID or personal account ID.

My first thought is some sort of chat ID. He was chatting to someone with the user ID/profile or forum name of 'olive12345' (or whatever the numbers are). I see similar on my (hobby group) chat if I'm messaging someone.

Can you access the laptop? Go onto internet and options and check browser history. It would be listed there

Olive could literally be anything! I would have have asked him directly what that was and if his reaction/answer aroused my suspicions I would ask to open the internet history directly. If he refused you would have had an answer.

Go to him now, say you know its untrusting but you found his actions strange and want him to reassure you by opening the internet history right away? If he's cleared it you also have your answer!

It literally doesn't mean it's a cam girl though. He could have been looking a present / gift for you. Olive-based products? It could be something personal private about him - does he have mental health issues? There's a councilling service called the Olive branch.

Like, it could be anything. The fact that you assume the worst could indicate he's given you other reasons not to trust him?

Can you confront him with this and tell him it's obvious he was acting shady and flustered? Ask him for the truth
