What do I do?

Things came to a head last night and I am leaving my partner. Mostly money related issues and him lying constantly. TLDR is I'm done.

But where do I start? We rent our home, 8yr old DD goes to school around the corner. I have no family nearby to stay with. I don't understand how I'm going to find us a place to live on just my salary. All the 2 bed houses I've seen are either too far away or rent is equal to what we are currently paying between us.

It's such a mess and I don't even know where to begin to unpick it.

He can go back to his parents and sort himself out with very little change to his day to day. Seems like I'm going to be struggling to make this work to provide DD with stability. She only started the school she is at in September so I really don't want to move her again if I can help it.

Where do I even begin?

Can you afford to take on your current property alone?
Are you working? Have you checked what benefits you may be entitled to so you at least know what your financial position will be??

I could, but it would be a stretch. However I think that may be the best course of action at least temporarily until we can figure this out. It's mostly the deposit + 1st month rent part in securing a new house that seems most daunting part of starting again.

It may be cheaper to give DP his half of the deposit and see if the LL will take him off the tenancy.

To my understanding, I wouldn't qualify for any benefits. But I will double check.

I work full time remotely. The pay isn't bad but I've already been looking for a role with better pay.
