AIBU to expect ex H to see his daughter more?

Hi MN,

I’ve been separated from exH for 4 years now and have DD7. When we split daughter was only 3 and adjusted well to our new normal. For the first month after the split exH was round a lot helping with childcare. He then met a new woman very quickly and she fell pregnant within months. They moved in and was welcomed by his family. She was and is a lovely woman and I welcomed her too, as much as I could because she was having a baby. He started to see our DD less which I understood because new baby, stress, so I tried to be understanding. DD and the new baby bonded well however, exH and new woman had relationship problems which affected him having DD sometimes.
DD mentioned she didn’t want to stay at exH house because of an atmosphere. So exH started to see DD alone but it’s been very infrequent. Once a week for a few hours.
DD getting upset because she believes her father is spending more time with the new child than her.
ExH has reassured me that he hardly see’s the new child at the moment because he’s constantly working / gets home late / child is in bed. But it’s still upsetting DD.
What can I do?

Obviously the new woman is unkind and making for feel that way, make sure your daughter is kept away from her, step parents like that can be very damaging to young children.
