AND! My DCs have blue eyes. I have blue eyes. All of DHs family have the darkest dark brown eyes. And yet the DCs naturally got theirs from a single long-dead and distant relation.

My dd when born apparently had my paternal grandmother's fingernails. Wtf. Arrgh

OMG yes - MIL has been doing this since DS was born. As others have said, I apparently have had no genetic input into my child at all

I think the best one that I can remember (there have been so many) was that DS has always been unable to keep socks on since he was born - at first he rubbed them off, now he just pulls them off - which of course, is exactly like DH was. It takes all I can do to not shout at her 'no, you silly woman, it is just what babies/toddlers do!'

my MIL said when first child was born, "oh you must be so upset as he looks so like his dad" eg. takes after our side of the family
