Hi all,

I've been a member of this site on and off for 10 years. I've been pretty underwhelmed by it. It's very expensive and seems to have at least its fair share of users, catfishers and scammers. Maybe more, given the nature of the site.

But tonight just takes the biscuit. 2 years ago, I was chatting to someone on there. It migrated to whatsapp. Long story short, I didn't respond quickly enough to a message there when he could see I was online. I receive a TORRENT of vile, deranged abuse. Along the lines of how dare I think I was too good for him and he bets I'm a virgin but he'll soon send his friends round to sort out. So yes, rape threats.

I informed the police who took it very seriously. He's in a different part of the UK from me but they reported it to his local area and he was "spoken to".

CC banned him at the time.

Well, tonight I've noticed his profile is back. He's even using the same photos! Has CC literally got ANY safety procedures at all?

Quite shaken to be honest.

I know some woman have struggled with it. Not in ways you describe, but it seems to be mainly either men who have a lot of emotional issues, or men pretending to be Christian. I do know a few who have met good husbands on there though. But there are a lot more single woman in the church than men, so I suppose that would translate to online dating as well. Making it hard to find one!
