Should I report FIL?

Hi I have a 9 month old daughter who currently has no contact with my FIL due to him being accused of child sexual abuse(not convicted) and other concerning behavior such as touching me and taking photos of women in Tesco.
I have recently found out that the sister had brought a child into that house without the parents being there I'm concerned because the brother had found incest searches on his phone such as aunty and nephew, grandson and granny etc porn which I believe was consenting adults but still disgusting considering the rest of his behavior what should I do!?

Report report report and send a message to your SIL if you haven't already. Obviously maintain NC. Worst that can happen is you end up NC with SIL, best that can happen is you save children from sexual abuse

Does the sister know about the allegations?

The sister knows everything that's what I don't understand. Him watching women with binunchlors, taking photos of women in Tesco, her friend was the child that said he abused her but she dropped the charges, touching my bra and was aware of the searches before I was and has the audacity to bring a child into that home

Do you think I should contact the parents?

Yes contact the parents.
who are the parents who trust this woman with their child?

mindutopia · 08/03/2024 21:39

Yes, I would contact the parents. My dc was exposed to a convicted child sexual abuser and everyone knew but no one told us (the family actually had a meeting to discuss how to prevent us finding out, including MIL who is an NHS social worker and SIL who is an NHS psychologist, both with safeguarding training, the mind boggles). I wish someone had been courageous enough to speak up. Thankfully, I have no reason to believe my child was ever harmed as never unsupervised at that age, but that wouldn’t have always been the case when she got older. The worst betrayal was that everyone thought we didn’t deserve to make that decision for ourselves.

As for your FIL, yes, report anything that is reportable like the filming. And I hope that you and your Dh are also NC.

In my opinion yes, if this was my son, I would really appreciate knowing. There really have to be no kids around him in my opinion he sounds too risky and weird.
