Boudoir photoshoot

Not sure where to post this so have gone with relationships!
Just wondered if anyone has done a boudoir photoshoot as a wedding gift for their husband? I did, and he loves the photos, and it's our 10th anniversary coming up soon. I was wondering whether to have it done again - ten years and two kids on - to see how I've changed in that time. Or would it be too much of the same thing?! I just don't know what to get him and thought updated photos might be nice, but is it too samey.

If anyone here has done that sort of thing for the wedding gift could you maybe ask your hubby if he would like to receive more after ten years?

I did not do it for a wedding, but for fun, and husband absolutely loved it, even hanged a print out on a wall..and yes, he would absolutely love it again

I've once read a man describe looking at his naked wife as this being the same as watching sunset - he has seen it many times, and it was just as beautiful every single time

I think it's an AMAZING idea and you can print the photos out and frame them or use one of those slideshow apps and make a whole video with these pictures and a song he likes... Maybe, just maybe, I'd get him something else that would be solely related to him and his interests and hobbies, but photoshoot idea is amazing for anniversary imo.

Thank you both, I appreciate your replies!

What is the point?

Where are you going to keep the photos?

Presumably not on your living room wall either, especially if you have kids. So when would he ever see the pictures?

You going to keep them locked up, to be taken out only on special occasions, so he can look at them before you DTD?

"Hand on honey, let me just look at your picture again".

Where does everyone keep these pictures?

Agree. Also why do women have to do them, what about him.

Flatbellyfella · 06/03/2024 15:15

So who takes the pictures ?

I had a female photographer do mine- I made an album of them for my husband’s 40th. It was a great experience and the photos were fantastic- very tasteful.

While we were chatting, the photographer said she no longer offered shoots for men or couples (having originally done those) as so many people saw it as an opportunity to behave in a pervy way or get fruity with their partner 🤢

Now just picturing OPs husband half dressed up in his own shots 😂

It's a female photographer and the photos are really tasteful. I loved the first set I had done, I look bloody awesome! Which I don't usually feel, so it was nice to have done.

Hubby has a couple of photos framed in his home office, the more racy ones in a box. He loved them and tells me often how sexy I look. I just didn't know if it was worth doing more ten years on 🤷

I think it's so tacky and there is something so desperate about it.

Sounds good to me, OP. I’m much older and have been married for decades, but I still love how DH and I enjoy each other. I’m sure your DH will enjoy your present.
