Grating Accent

I've started dating someone for the past 6 weeks or so. Lovely person and going well, however they have the most local accent (London(cockney)).
I have a bit of a local accent too but much tbh, and find their accent very grating... Has anyone been in the same situation and is this a reason to stop seeing them. I'm no snob by any means but is pretty off putting at times 😬

You've got the ick. Sorry it's doomed.

I love a regional accent. But if you found the person irresistible, the accent wouldn't matter.

I’ve dumped people for it too, you’ve just got the ick. I love some accents (DP’s is very different to mine but super sexy) but others just set my teeth on edge.
