I've been in a casual relationship with a man, mid 50s, for around 3 years. We live 2 hours apart.
He told me early on he's taken drugs recreationally since age 20. He still has coke and MDMA on most occasions that he sees his best mate. They mix together, and it heightens the experience for them. Their choice. They live an hour apart, and see each other every two months or so.
Best mate has gone to visit him tonight, as he's got things to do in the town. They went to the pub about 8.30, went back to his after and started doing lines at best mates suggestion.
I find this incredibly sad. Who needs to do lines at 10.30pm on a Thursday?
It's also made the cogs fall into place for me as to how easily he is led. He's such a sheep, particularly when it comes to his best friend. He idolises him and will not have a word said against him.
I'm having an epiphany as to why I have never seen him as an option for a proper relationship. I needed to share it.
