I understand this offer has been extended and tests are available while stocks last.

If I hadn't gone to my local clinic to get tested after a relationship finished a few years ago I'd likely still be oblivious. Many people are diagnosed late due to not thinking they're at risk including older divorced women like myself.

I'm now on 1 pill a day (2 if you count my vitamin D supplement), staying healthy and no risk to any partners. Mind you, chance would be a fine thing given my experience on dating apps!

If you are going to order the HIV test, you may as well order the full home test that includes HIV, Syphilis, Gonorrhoea and Chlamydia. You can get these free of charge online, in your local area.

Good point if wanting a full screen.
The offer from THT, as well as the blood test that’s sent away like the standard tests and will also test for Syphilis if wished, also gives a quick home test with immediate result option.

Commenting to bump this so it can be seen by more users!

I work in sexual health. I think what THT is doing is great, but you can get a full at-home postal STI screening on the NHS is most areas. So HIV, yes, but also everything else, including those infections that are most common in the UK.

You should be able to find out on your local GUM/SH clinic website or SH24 is a good place to look too. You can do the swabs and collect the blood samples yourself and then you get your results back by text/phone/email depending on the options you choose.

Your sexual health record is completely separate from the rest of your NHS record too. I think sometimes people worry about testing for STIs via the NHS because they don't want their GP to know. But it's a totally separate system and confidential.
