How soon after you left did you file for divorce

That’s it really I left last week after 18!years of shit. Rental market is very tough and I’m sofa surfing with kids and he’s still in the house. Went to a solicitor on Wednesday. They said they can start next week. How long did you wait?

I filed for divorce about 5 weeks after we split (still living together at the time) but I'd mentally checked out many months before so I was very ready. I ended the relationship.
