Parents and siblings do I take a step back?

Need some advice about whether I take a step back from my family.

I'm early 30's, married, with 2 young children, we are in a bit of debt but now paying it off rapidly.

Growing up my parents had a abusive relationship, to the point I used to get in between them during physical fights as I used to get scared they would kill each other, this has affected my mental health long term. My parents are still together.

I seem to be the child who is pushed out and can never do anything right. We did it the wrong way apparently (got married and children without a house)

Given everything I still speak to my mum daily

They also give money and go on holidays with my siblings and see them a lot more than me, I feel aggrieved but do I have a right to.

You are entitled to feel how you feel. Maybe you need to distance yourself.

Look at the Stately Homes thread. You're the scapegoat.

They do sound as if they treat your siblings differently.

Do you want to step back? If you feel you can lead your life without your mother's input go for it. Just dial back on the contact and let them initiate it.

The latest is they are going to New York with my sister and fiancé! Brother got asked if he wanted to go, I didn't get asked or told until it was booked.

I think my issue I do think stepping back would be good but I feel awkward about doing it.

Oh this makes me really sad. Hope you're okay OP.

I think stepping back for your mental health would be worth a try 💐

Thanks, I will try and step back, I don't know what I have done wrong in my parents eyes.
