Few messages to person matched with couple of days ago, both love travel and hiking, he is 52. Messages me this morning says I thought of you when I woke up, we were hiking in Romania holding hands enjoying the sights................................ um, ok.................. I feel its odd?

Oh no, he's trying to be romantic and missing the mark really cringily. Comes across odd and insincere. I would be put off and probably not reply tbh but he might just be trying too hard.

Much more odd is why literally EVERYONE on OLD says they are into travel and hiking. Always travel and hiking! Iv even started to see people write these type of comments in their captions..”looks like I need to get myself up a mountain as all the single people seem to always be out hiking” It’s so true!! “Long Sunday walks followed by a roast…I’m also really into travel and hiking!” YAWWWWWN

Odd according to what rules? If you don't like it, you don't like it. There are lots of people you would find odd that others wouldn't, you have to choose for yourself what seems odd for you. We can't tell you, because there is no 'standard' for behaviour.

Oh God yes. Every man in Hinge said his typical Sunday was a long walk followed by a roast in the pub.
I lost count of the men 50+ who said their hobbies were hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, cycling etc - instant swipe left.

I swear they’re all just making it up when really they spend most of their time sat on the sofa in their pants, picking their feet. Real outdoorsy
