I have seen a lot of posts about couples who are mismatched in the bedroom department.

Whats your story did you stay or leave?
If you stayed how do you feel?

Curious because i am yet another person in a relationship like this. And i hope this post can give me and others some help ❤️

Yep me too (male) - there is no easy answer is there ! How long has yours been going on - what does your instinct say you should do ?

I wrote about it in the past under a different username and even DMd some OPs of old threads asking them this very question, whether they managed to overcome or left, nobody ever replied.

Now can say for myself that I left(I was the one getting 10 times less sex than I would have liked) and even though going through a period of temporary celibacy (on purpose-ish - didn’t want to sleep with random people and the separation and divorce took ages to sort out) I am so much better and happier.

It is the same as with loneliness, it’s worse being lonely in a relationship than just being by yourself. It’s far worse feeling unwanted by your partner than just not having sex. Plus I do regularly feel wanted by other men now and it’s nice, just haven’t met the one I would fancy back yet, but only in very early days of dating yet.

Oh, I had major issues in my marriage but it’s the lack of sex which gave me the biggest motivation and strength to leave, so in a way I am sort of grateful there was so little sex, or it could have dragged on even longer.

Left and feeling much better. Want a healhty relationship with regular healthy sex life.

PrueRamsay · 17/02/2024 21:38

I left.

My home life was basically me being chased around the house by XH chasing me.

To be fair, the mismatch in libido was a symptom of other issues in the marriage.

GentlemanJay · 17/02/2024 21:44

One of the many reasons I left.

Tillybud81 · 17/02/2024 21:53

I left but I was on the other side of it not wanting sex as much as him

If it can't be talked through and resolved mutually then it's definitely an acceptable reason to leave
