Lateness

AIBU to have a moan at DH on lateness and not telling me when we have two young children.

I'm punctual for everything I put that down to being respectful of peoples time.

DH is only ever on time if it's important to him! Tonight for example I'm starting dinner (we have spoken about this) ring him as he's already late from usual time to check he'll make it home because he knows I start all our dinner for his arrival but if he's running or going to be late late it's not an issue just let me know and I'll cook his later. Anyway he answers and eventually I say are you close dinners nearly ready "I'm 2 hours away" which I replied "thanks for the heads up again"

I know it's minor but it really pisses me off!

It is really frustrating!

I would just carry on as usual and his dinner can be played up and wait for him to arrive. If it's cold, that's his problem. I would just carry on with your usual routines and not really take his into account - don't wait about for him!

I'm
Now going to take a similar stance. We have two DC together one with additional needs who also likes to know when to expect daddy and "dinner with daddy" I just find it very rude if you know somebody is making you a dinner knowing full well he's told me we are on a budget. In which case I've planned every meal to avoid wastage and I know for a fact the chicken after being
reheated will be DRY as will the potatoes and he'll bin it!
