Coming home and becoming a single mum after living abroad

I lived in Australia for the past few years and have a child with a man from there and I am now pregnant with our second. We have come to the UK (my home) and I can’t handle his alcohol and drug abuse anymore and I don’t want to go back to Australia with him. I want to stay here and be close to my family and I refuse to let him take our child and I refuse to leave. He drinks every day and smokes weed everyday ( which he does legally in Australia because he has a prescription) but when he drinks he is passive aggressive and says the most horrible nasty things to me even though I am pregnant and I’ve just had enough. Please can someone give me advice or has anyone gone through anything similar? He is still in the UK but he is refusing to leave, but I also refuse to leave with him

The Hague convention states that the country where the child has spent the majority of their life is home when it comes to parents. IE if you refuse take the child back (if your husband goes back) you would be guilty of kidnapping.
