So brief background. I’m in a job which I have mostly enjoyed until recently. However many changes are happening, I have a (terrible) new manager and my job itself is being changed - more stuff I dislike doing and less of what I do like. Other than my daughter I have no need to stay in this town but that will change soon as she plans to move away for work I have no local friends of family and am single.
The idea of a new job terrifies me - I suffer with anxiety and dislike certain types of change but the thought of being in this job(unless it improves) is horrible.
If things at work stay bad I’m thinking instead of looking for another job locally to move to another area I love (with cheaper property too)and then look for work once settled there. I can afford not to work for a few months.
When writing this, the decision seems like a no brainer! But I like my security, dislike the thought of learning a new job, potentially having worse colleagues,etc.
