How common is it for exes to get back together and make it work?

Interested to find out if it is common for exes who share young DC to get back together and make the relationship work the second time around. Especially after a somewhat lengthy separation.

Depends why they split up. If the issues are still there and haven’t been resolved then no chance. If they have then you might be in with a shot.

Depends on the reason for the split and whether the trust has gone. Trust is essential for a relationship to work.

My friend and her husband got back together after 6 years, and are now happier than ever. They'd stayed friends when they split - he had an affair - and after a few years slowly started again
