I just wanted people’s opinion on this, my bf was going through this old email address from years ago the other night and i seen an email from OnlyFans. I said to him why on earth have you got only fans and he showed me the email and it was from 2021, we only met last year. He said he was curious and then deleted it after a month cause he didn’t want to pay for it again.

Is it weird for guys to have checked out onlyfans? like part of me gets it it was realativy new at the time he was single etc but i dunno i’m like is it weird?

No, it's not weird. It's very normal and common and I've heard it's much better for people to pay for OnlyFans instead of watching free porn

In what way is it better?

Heard where?

Yuck.

If he was single at the time then I don't see the problem. Better to pay for porn directly from the content creator then just be watching free porn without a care in the world for consent etc.

If porn is a deal breaker for you or something that you feel uncomfortable about in a monogamous relationship then despite him looking at it before he should no longer be looking at it now and if he respects you and cares about you he would respect your wishes and no longer look at it.

I wouldn’t be happy about someone paying for only fans. It’s a bit more personal than someone going on line and viewing the tons of free porn available. Will he say who it was he was paying to see? Are they people he knows?

adriftabroad · 14/01/2024 14:49

No. it is vile.

Catladyireland · 14/01/2024 15:39

I've heard it from women who post on OnlyFans. They money goes directly to them and they choose what gets posted. Maybe that's just marketing nonsense though

louise2019x · 14/01/2024 15:41

i don’t mind him watching porn at all i do it too 😂 and i know he was single when he done it like so i have absolutely no say what so ever but i’m just like icked out by it i think and wondering if it’s something most single men do (subscribe to onlyfans)

Don't be silly, and Jesus - lift your bar.

It's like saying sleeping with prostitutes is 'very normal and common and I've heard it's much better for people to pay for a prostitute rather than sleeping with another women he's met for free'.

EvenMoreFuriousVexation · 14/01/2024 15:47

I think if you, as a woman, go and ask a few men "Have you ever subscribed to OnlyFans? Do your friends?" they will say "No, of course not! How shocking that would be!"

I think if you then did a random survey of men throughout the UK and checked their bank accounts rather than asking them to self-report, you'd find the incidence is much, much higher 😂

And yes, paying for content directly from the people making it, rather than watching stuff for free which may have been published without knowledge or consent, is always going to be better for the person in the content.
