Why on earth would you go there on holiday?!?! It's reallllllllly not a holiday destination, trust me I've been there! Travelled through it and let me tell you, never again

I had a perfectly good holiday in Houston once.

I’ve lived there but somehow doubt I’m the target audience for this post. 😂

lol at the idea that driving through qualifies someone to declare an entire state a write off for holiday purposes though.

Many bits of Texas can definitely be a holiday destination - Houston with NASA and the rodeo, Galveston, Corpus Christi with Mustang and South Padre Islands, Big Bend, San Antonio and the Hill Country, the Austin music festival …

... the mountains in the East.

I love Texas. Didn't think I would.

I like Texas too. Been a few times.
Not keen on all the guns, mind.

I did a Texas road trip from Austin . Went to San Antonio, Houston , Galveston … loved it !
went to a rodeo and state fair , swam at a state park , went to the state capitol, the space centre , the beach . And it was lovely and hot !

Yeah. When you have to check that all guns in the house are locked away before your kids go there on a play date …
