Separation troubles

Hello,
myself and my husband are separating after a lot of months trying to figure out what has been going on in our relationship.
The massive issue we have is we own a house together.
He has no family and has no where to go. We have two children together also.
Due to this difficulty where do I stand financially? He is the bread winner but, is now becoming very difficult with regards finances. I only work part time. Can I claim anything benefit wise as he is now sleeping downstairs and we live as separately as possible without making it too noticeable for the children . I’m so stressed as I have debt also and am panicking over everything . Any advice I’d be grateful

yes you can (if you’re renting). It’s universal credit now. Go on entitled.to and fill out your details in the calculator.

I think you need to see a solicitor and discuss a financial settlement properly. You may need to sell the house and downsize so that you can both afford somewhere to live.

@Zanatdy OP says they own the house.
